Role Overview:
As a Remote Patient Scheduling & Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for both new and existing patients, delivering exceptional customer service while managing complex schedules for multiple providers. You will utilize your sales skills to schedule new patient appointments and follow-ups, supporting the sales team in the process. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments, verify patient benefits, and ensure smooth coordination between patients, providers, and the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Scheduling and Coordination
- Schedule new patient appointments, follow-ups, and procedures while managing provider availability to ensure timely care.
- Coordinate schedules for multiple providers, maximizing productivity while meeting patient needs.
- Sales Support and Customer Service
- Utilize sales skills to engage potential patients, explain the benefits of medical devices, and convert inquiries into scheduled appointments.
- Serve as a patient advocate by providing clear communication and compassionate support, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns.
- Collaboration and Process Optimization
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring patients understand their financial responsibilities and facilitating pre-authorizations.
- Collaborate with clinical providers, sales representatives, and administrative staff to enhance organizational efficiency and the overall patient experience.
- Identify opportunities to streamline scheduling processes and improve patient satisfaction.
- Sales Skills: 1-3+ years of experience in a sales or customer service role, with the ability to engage patients and convert inquiries into scheduled appointments.
- Scheduling Expertise: Experience coordinating complex schedules across multiple providers and locations in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer Service Orientation: Strong communication skills with a focus on patient satisfaction, empathy, and conflict resolution.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail when managing appointments, verifying benefits, and collaborating with team members.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using scheduling software, CRM systems, and other digital tools to manage patient information and appointments efficiently.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and navigate scheduling conflicts or insurance issues with minimal supervision.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination between sales, clinical, and administrative departments.
- Remote Work Capability: Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fully remote environment, with access to reliable internet and a quiet workspace.

- Familiarity with insurance verification
- Knowledge of scheduling platforms and CRM tools
- Knowledge of Athena is a plus
