Out of Print seeks a Business Operations Associate to join our fast-paced and innovative team, working with various operational tasks and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The Business Operations Associate will work closely with the VP & Director and partner with the finance, accounting, and inventory management teams to support the overall operational efficiency of the team.

Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. This role requires experience in basic administrative accounting and an understanding of the finance ecosystem. The candidate should be adept at handling urgent tasks while maintaining a strategic perspective, adjusting their approach as needed to achieve overall operational efficiency.
This role requires the ability to proactively identify and address operational challenges, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

The Role:
• Manage vendor relationships including onboarding, contract management, issue resolution, collecting and organizing documents from vendors, and maintaining accurate records
• Coordinate accounts payable (AP) activities, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor communication
• Assist with accounts receivable (AR) coordination, including bank and cash receipt reconciliations
• Manage product reconciliation (escheatment) process, including identifying and reporting unclaimed property
• Review and approve ACH and wire transfer authorization requests
• Manage royalty accruals, statements, and reporting, ensuring accurate calculations and timely payments to rightsholders
• Prepare end-of-month (EOM) data and reporting with management
• Import sales data from external system and reconcile with internal records
• Record journal entries accurately in the financial system
• Assist with budgeting activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
The Essentials:
• Minimum of 1 year of related prior experience required; prior experience in an operations, finance, or accounting role is a strong plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
The salary for this position is $53,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
