Head of Treasury and Collection

PeopleCert is currently looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to join our Group Finance division as the Head of Treasury & Collection. This pivotal role involves overseeing the Treasury and Collections Departments, ensuring efficient management, and implementing effective procedures for treasury operations, forecasting, and collections activities.

As a Head of Treasury and Collection, your tasks will include the following:

Treasury Management

  • Perform comprehensive cash and liquidity management for all PeopleCert Group entities.
  • Manage foreign exchange (FX) risk and develop robust hedging strategies.
  • Prepare and oversee cash flow forecasts, ensuring effective banking and financial institution relationships.
  • Manage bank relations and Negotiate bank and service fees to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate and Review payment proposal.
  • Coordinate day-to-day treasury operations, including wire transfers and daily cash settlements.
  • Handle e-banking approvals.
  • Reconcile cash balances and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Collections Oversight

  • Supervise the credit control team, ensuring an efficient and professional collections process both internally and with external collaborators.
  • Maintain and enhance customer relationships while adhering to company credit control policies.
  • Facilitate the collection of customer payments in line with established policies.
  • Manage credit exposure to ensure it’s in line with the group’s risk appetite.

Reporting and Audit

  • Coordinate and deliver value-added reports to management on accounts receivable (AR), cash flow, and related metrics, presenting information and conveying key messages in an efficient and easy-to-grasp manner.
  • Manage and address audit inquiries in a timely and thorough manner.

Process Optimization and Leadership

  • Recommend and implement automation and process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Lead, grow, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback to staff, ensuring alignment with individual and organizational goals.

Compliance and Alignment

  • Adhere to and implement procedures, policies, and work instructions as per PeopleCert's Integrated Management System.
  • Uphold and embody PeopleCert’s core values of Quality, Passion, Integrity, and Innovation in all actions and decisions.

What we look for:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (a postgraduate degree in Finance, Banking, or Business is a strong asset).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in international treasury, accounting, or finance within a multinational corporation.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of international treasury functions and credit control processes.
  • Advanced computer literacy; ECDL Advanced level certification is desirable.

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in English at a C2 level (LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certification is advantageous).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
