We are supported by top investors, including Sequoia, Bling Capital, BoxGroup, and industry leaders.Role DescriptionAs a iOS Engineer at Pika, you’ll partner with other engineers to create our iOS application, the primary surface that our most critical users use daily. As an early member of our engineering team overall, you’ll play a pivotal role in our engineering culture, product development, and company trajectory. Your contributions will transform early-stage ideas into a world-changing product, all while working closely with our founders. This role reports to the Head of Engineering.Responsibilities• Collaborate with company leaders to define, design, and build our core iOS product.• Contribute to all aspects of the product life cycle: design, development, ship, and iterate.• Make critical architectural decisions to establish the technical foundations of our iOS platform.• Cultivate an effective engineering culture that encourages innovation and promotes best practices.• Independently complete major projects end to end.• Contribute to code and architecture reviews for other members of the team.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions meet user needs and align with our business goals.Required Skills And Qualifications• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.• 1+ year of experience on iOS, including SwiftUI.• 3+ years of total software engineering experience.• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain complex software systems.• Experience with project management and collaborating with product and design teams.• Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.• Demonstrable commitment to environmental sustainability and belief in our mission.• Experience in a startup environment and with full-stack web development is a plus.What We Offer• An opportunity to work on a project with significant potential for societal impact.• Generous equity stake.• A supportive, challenging, and collaborative work environment.• Unlimited opportunity for growth and learning.• Carbon offsets for your day to day emissions impact.• Office space with a dedicated desk, and budget for office equipment.• Benefits, including: competitive healthcare/dental/vision, flexible PTO, education stipend etc.Pika Earth, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
