The Compensation Analyst will help administer compensation programs at Pixar. This position will perform a variety of compensation activities, including providing guidance to managers and People Team peers regarding compensation actions for employees, administering/coordinating annual compensation planning processes, and analyzing and reporting internal and external market compensation data.The ideal candidate will have experience with Compensation but also a passion for HR Operations. They will want to understand and engage in processes whereby several moving parts come together to solve for scale and work as part of a team passionate about delivering a world class employee experience.Responsibilities• Participate in salary surveys, conducting external market pricing and preparing pricing analyses and reports• Collects and analyzes compensation information to determine market competitiveness and internal equity• With other members in the Compensation team, participate in preparing for Annual Compensation Programs• Partner closely with Pixar’s Workday team for activities such as system uploads, creation of job profiles and data audits• Documentation, Preparation and Review of Reports• Conducts job analysis and completes job documentation steps to create new and/or updated job descriptions. May participate in studies to assess grade levels and job titles• Develops and maintains documentation and templates for key compensation processes; identifies opportunities and assists in process improvement activities• Prepares and reviews regular and ad-hoc reports• Documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements• Research and recommend improvements to compensation processes or workflows and support the development, implementation and maintenance of compensation tools and systems• Works on other compensation-related projects as neededQualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Finance, or quantitative-focused major• 3 years of related compensation, finance, or analytical experience• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, self-manage projects and deadlines.• Possess enthusiasm for continuous operational excellence; detail-oriented and analytical. Passionate about data integrity and accuracy.• High degree of integrity and honesty; demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and neutrality in complex and sensitive situations. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.• Prior knowledge and direct experience in multiple HR practice areas such as: recruiting and staffing, compensation & benefits, workforce planning, organizational development, HR analytics, etc. Broad working knowledge of general HR practices, policies, and programs.• Proficiency in MS Office with a strong understanding of Excel, including charts, graphs, pivot tables and other advanced capabilities; Access and PowerPoint a plus• Workday experience a plusThe hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $92,700.00 to $113,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.Pixar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
