Plots is getting Gen Z off their phones and into real life. We're the event discovery platform that turns digital connections into actual friendships, helping our generation find and meet people at high-quality local events they'll love.

We're backed by a16z, co-founded by two Gen Z builders and Tinder's founding CTO, and we've already helped event hosts make $3M+ in 2024. Join us in building the world’s first in-person social network!

About the Role

You are joining a team that drives the most direct impact on revenue. Drive platform growth by onboarding and supporting event hosts targeting Gen Z (18-24), with a focus on onboarding quality event organizers within a 1-4 week sales cycle. You’ll work directly with the Head of Sales to kickstart growth in new cities and capture momentum in existing markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate pipeline for yourself

  • Conduct targeted outreach to high quality potential hosts

  • Demo platform capabilities and identify host’s needs to ultimately close deals

  • Hit $500K monthly GMV quota from ticketed events you onboard to the platform.

First 90 Days

  • Month 1: Onboarding and training. Discover and generate your own list of leads. Get familiar with our sales process and conduct outreach to leads that you generate. Understand our ICP, how to speak their language, and the resources you have at your disposal to close them.

  • Month 2: Develop and set meetings with your lists using Instagram and other cold outreach methods. Onboard your first event hosts in target cities using a variety of deal structures.

  • Month 3: Fully ramped up, you will be conducting outreach to event hosts, setting meetings with your personal lists of leads to expand Plots in new/familiar markets. You are working cross collaboratively with other Growth teams, to make sure you can bring deals across the line in target cities. You’ll maintain an organized pipeline, track key metrics such as Close Rate and are on track to hit 30% quota. You continue to build upon and improve our sales process.

About You

  • 1-2 years B2C sales experience (marketplace preferred)

  • Experience selling within a startup environment

  • Proven relationship-builder with cold outreach expertise

  • Proficient with Pipedrive, Instagram, Slack, and scraping tools

  • Creative problem solver, who can dig deep to effectively understand our ICP’s pain points.

  • Wants to drive impact company wide

  • High emotional intelligence and self-awareness

  • Attention to detail and efficiency

  • Organized and diligent with follow-up

  • Understanding of Gen Z event landscape
