Print and Mail Data Specialist

We are seeking a Print and Mail Operator join our team!

As the Print & Mail Operator you will work closely with the Print & Mail Manager and team in Easley, SC to drive production of over 5 million pieces of mail annually.

Working as a mail machine operator requires attention to detail, technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This profession offers a stable and rewarding career, with opportunities for advancement to supervisory roles or specialization in specific types of mail processing equipment. By following established postal procedures and safety protocols, mail machine operators help to maintain a smooth and secure mail processing operation.

What your impact will be:

Operate high-volume mail processing equipment including digital printers, postage meters, and inserters
Perform cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance on mail processing equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve common equipment issues such as jams or misfeeds.
Produce printed materials from digital input files including data mapping and template development
Ensure compliance with USPS regulations and procedures, such as proper labeling and handling of different mail classes
Respond to customer needs in a timely and effective matter, taking note of tight production windows
Assist in the implementation of new processes. This includes, but is not limited to improvements in machinery and software to improve standards, cost, efficiency, accuracy, etc.
Communicate effectively with team to monitor jobs in process so every job is completed as scheduled

Visually inspect printed output to samples throughout the process to ensure quality and accuracy
Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
Lift and move mail trays, boxes, and equipment, as needed
Deliver mailings to local post office, as needed

What we are looking for:

Ability to interpret customer requirements and recommend solutions

Ability to read and understand job tickets

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good troubleshooting and analytical thinking to resolve issues
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to learn production print and mail software such as Planet Press and Lorton Data
Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript is a plus

Clean driving record

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours/day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
