Role Overview

We are looking for:

A Production Specialist to provide day-to-day direction in the operation of Powders Section as directed by the Production Manager. HSE: Ensure that health, safety, security and protection of the environment are given the highest priority in all activities performed at the site.

We count on you for:

  • Provide leadership to ensure a safe work environment and maintain Regulatory compliance for the area.
  • Oversight of Iso documentation including inventory, safety, environmental, and production paperwork.
  • Plan Production schedule as requested by Supply Chain and directed from Production Manager.
  • Track inventories and QC analysis of intermediates and finished goods.
  • Work with Quality Control in disposition of all finished goods.
  • Write notifications and act as unit gatekeeper to Maintenance activities in the area.
  • Issues work permits as needed.
  • Plan, schedule, and set priorities to achieve objectives in productivity, quality, cost reduction, resource efficiency, off-grade reduction, spill prevention and containment, etc.
  • Communicate employee concerns and operating developments accurately and promptly to Production Supervisors/Management.
  • Involved in Daily troubleshooting and assisting technicians in their duties when required.
  • Review and update current SOP for the area assets.
  • Manage product labeling and goods movements to and from Warehouse.
  • Provide on-the job training of process technicians..
  • Maintain current training status in the following: Safety, Environmental, ISO, Process Safety Management; and Process Overview Training, Basic Operator Training, Process Specific Training, and Job Specific Training courses.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsibilities include providing direction to the Shift Supervisors and Process Technicians as needed as the request of the Production Manager.

You will bring:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in process technology or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is desirable
  • At least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment
  • A thorough understanding of each technician position, each standard procedure, and the various plant contingency plans as well as complete familiarity with process structures and equipment is required.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office, SAP, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Adobe Reader.
  • Ability to apply knowledge and skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,821.00 to $113,526.00. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

Additional information:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud in some locations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to use hands to finger or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be trained in the use and be physically able to use the applicable personal protective equipment for specific hazards in the work environment.
