Alma is seeking a mission-driven Project Manager to join our Payer Partnerships team. In the role of Payer Operations Project Manager, you will be critical in ensuring that Alma is an efficient and effective partner in a payer organization's operations. You will play a vital role in driving projects that contribute to improved customer satisfaction, cost savings, and compliance with industry standards. You will interact regularly with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Insurance Operations, and Sales. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Payer Operations.
What you’ll do:
- Lead project management efforts for expansion initiatives, including task tracking, documenting, monitoring timelines, escalating risks as appropriate, and driving to project completion.
- Provide on-the-ground support to help execute the planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities.
- Develop detailed project plans, route deliverables, supply status reports, and supervise the implementation of key initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional team meetings.
- Establish, cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating expansion processes and procedures and proposing solutions that will better meet the needs of the organization.
Who you are:
- You have 2-5 years of Healthcare, Payer, Project Management or related experience.
- You have experience utilizing Project Management tools such as Asana.
- You have an analytical mindset and are proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.
- You have experience introducing new processes or systems within a payer organization that requires effective change management.
- You have experience navigating and mitigating risks associated with project management, including scheduling, resources, and stakeholder management.
- You have the ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and drive the implementation of those improvements.
- You have the ability to present ideas and bodies of work to small and large audiences.
- You are self-directed with the ability to set priorities, plan, and organize tasks and deliverables as needs evolve.

Salary Band: $116,000 - $134,000
