North America’s Education Consultant role provides customers with the highest quality training delivery and provides the sales team with exceptional pre-sales support. Education Consultants partner with the sales team to provide customer demonstrations of the full value of Promethean’s hardware and software offering during the sales process. Education Consultants will also provide end-to-end Professional Development/training services for any customer that has purchased Promethean Professional Development (this includes training plans, project management, training development and delivery of training).


Note: Travel is required for this role


Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional development and on-going support to Promethean customers and build long term relationships securing future hardware, software, and services sales
  • Provide professional development/training sessions on Promethean hardware/software to customers, as well as mastery and delivery of all courses listed in the Promethean PD catalog
  • Work closely to build relationships with customers and support their training and implementation of Promethean hardware/software.
  • Provide pre-sales support to Promethean sales teams through presentations, demonstrations, and sales engagement
  • Provide educational expertise when attending seminars, trade shows, sales meetings, and other events delivering high quality pre-service sales support to Promethean sales teams – including delivering in-person product demos/presentations
  • Interact and cooperate with Promethean sales management to maintain communication about assigned accounts and provide high levels of pre-sales support/demonstrations of Promethean product
  • Participate in multiple national, virtual customer engagement events throughout the year that provide our customer base with dedicated sessions where educators can learn new skills and collaborate with community peers
  • Raise awareness in assigned accounts of Promethean hardware and software products and Promethean professional development offerings, in conjunction with sales teams
  • Help sales managers identify customer needs through solution-based selling techniques and demonstrate the full value of the Promethean suite of hardware and software products
  • Collaborate and interact with Promethean sales teams and extended Promethean teams (product, marketing, finance, legal) to ensure customer success
  • Liaise and coordinate with principals and senior district staff to build capacity and support positive changes in schools through Promethean’s offerings
  • Stay up to date on technology trends and monitor usage data for trends in education and identify opportunities for improvements and enhancements


Job Skills and Qualifications:
  • Live in / near posting location
  • Able to travel 4-5 days a week travel (as needed) in assigned territory – this can include air, car / local and out-of-state
  • Minimum 5 years of lead teaching experience in a US classroom 
  • Valid Teacher Certification 
  • Promethean/Interactive Flat Panel experience in both training and content/lesson development  
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to excite/relate to educators at all levels  
  • Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to speak in front of large groups of educators is essential  
  • Firm understanding of the pedagogy of teaching and learning – shown through the ability to develop / design / deliver exceptional professional development  
  • Understanding of the business side of education to support the pre-sales organization  
  • High levels of knowledge on all aspects of educational technology, technology integration, and current education technology trends  
  • A demonstrated understanding of and experience with research-based approaches to the teaching of reading, writing, mathematics, and Common Core  
  • Results driven, well organized, flexible, and have strong follow-up skills 
  • Spanish fluency is beneficial but not required for this role


Base Range: $65,000 - $80,000 + Bonus Eligible
