The Red Gate Group is seeking a Controller to lead and oversee the accounting department while ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. As the Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the month-end close process, reconciling accounts, and maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will supervise a team, including an Accounting Manager and a Project Accountant, to ensure the integrity of financial operations and support the organization’s short- and long-term goals.

We are currently on the lookout for a highly skilled Controller to be based in Chantilly, VA, who will take the helm of our accounting department. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting while managing our talented team, including an Accounting Manager and Project Accountant. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading month-end close processes, reconciling accounts, and making sure our financial practices comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You'll also play a significant role in developing and enhancing our internal control systems and managing all compliance requirements, particularly with regard to government contracts. Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint is essential, as you'll be using it to guide our financial operations consistently. As such, having experience in government contractor accounting, including knowledge of DCAA compliance, will set you up for success.
