In this role, you will work on different Red Hat’s products and get involved in the testing cycle from beginning to end as the products evolve and change over time.

What you will do:
Create testing plans and test cases for various scenarios
Research new features that are being developed
Serve as the technical point of contact for the features that you test
Gain an understanding of the features that your team is working on
Explore various ways to run, configure, and test features
Automate tests to cover your test plans
Create, add, and maintain automation tools
Find bugs and file accurate defect reports
Debug complex systems and communicate possible failures
Analyze root causes for failures and advise on possible solutions
Communicate your findings and work to various stakeholders including QE, Developers, and other engineering teams
Advance your level of coding and in-depth Linux administration skills
What you will bring:
Experience with Python / Go
Must be able to work Hybrid in Raleigh NC, Boston MA or Lowell MA
Experience with software test planning, test cases design, test script automation, and documentation
Experience creating clear and detailed defect reports, following bug life cycle (Jira experience is preferred)
Experience writing automated tests
Working experience with continuous integration (CI) tools (Jenkins is preferred)
Experience working with version control tools and Git
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Positive approach and willingness to bring projects to completion in a fast-paced environment
The following are considered a plus:
Experience With AI tools.
Experience with Ansible
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containers
Experience with virtualization tools and concepts
Basic understanding of networking layers 1 to 4
Advanced user skills in Linux operating system (OS) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Experience with Linux shell scripts and code
Experience with agile methodologies
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
