Operations Training Specialist

OverviewThe Operations Training Specialist is responsible for leading and developing training materials for operations leaders and team members. This role will support operations initiatives, new hires, ongoing training, and facilitation.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Research, design, and develop training programs/materials for operations leaders and team members determined by accurate research, solid instructional design, measurable evaluation, attractive and usable materials• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts on the design, development and delivery of business initiatives and needs• Establish and maintain cooperative, productive working relationships, identify and meet obstacles in the ongoing project cycle determined by accurate research and content, identifying and meeting training needs and on-time delivery• Seek new and innovate ways to design and deliver effective learning and development• Facilitate training workshops and sessions• Support annual Operations Leadership Conference• Support leadership and team member compliance and reporting for operations to ensure training accountability• Pursue ongoing state-of-the-art knowledge of training• Read professional and industry journals and maintain active professional association memberships as assigned determined by awareness of trends, network in industry, working knowledge of current practicesREQUIRED SKILLS:• Knowledge of adult learning theory• Ability to research/write instructional objectives and develop training materials• Consulting skills (problem analysis, intervention, contracting)• Instruction, facilitation, and presentation skills• Ability to influence others and interact with all levels of the organization• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet numerous deadlines• Strong customer service focus• Exceptional verbal, written, and electronic communication skills• Excellent planning and organization skills• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks• Strong computer and technology skills required (Windows suite, Excel, eLearning software and graphic design skills a plus)REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:• Two years of training and development experience (in hospital industry a plus)REQUIRED EDUCATION:• Bachelor's Degree, Business Administration, or related fieldOTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:• Two years professional human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience• Ability to build strong relationships with operations partners• Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance priorities• Flexible to work with cross-functional teams throughout organization• Self-starter and results oriented• Professional demeanor and image• Strong instructional design skills
