We are a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics and self-driving cars working to make this future a reality.As a Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) intern engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will work with a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aviation, space, robotics and self-driving cars to make this future a reality. Reliable Robotics has year-round internship opportunities for students pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics or a similar field of study. Successful candidates will work alongside senior engineers to design, implement and test GNC systems.Responsibilities• Support the design, analysis and verification of GNC components• Help improve the simulation models for various phases of flight• Develop tooling and Monte Carlo tests in support of navigation and control system verificationBasic Success Criteria• Currently enrolled in a graduate program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics or equivalent practical experience• A solid understanding of fundamentals -- engineering math, dynamics, numeric methods• Proficient in any of C/C++/Python• Proactive and motivated to tackle hard problemsPreferred Success Criteria• Experience in one or more disciplines related to GNC: flight simulation, control systems analysis, sensor fusion and state estimation• Excellent written and verbal communication skillsLearn more about the internship experience at Reliable Robotics from former interns: linkThis internship opportunity is located at our corporate headquarters in Mountain View, CA. The estimated annualized salary for this position is $116,000.This position requires access to information that is subject to U.S. export controls.
