Payer Contracting Consultant

We are looking to hire an experienced Payer Contracting Consultant who can help us expand access to Remo's Innovative dementia care services.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the healthcare payer landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of success in contract execution.

This is  a six-month 1099 contract with the possibility of extending or expanding  based on individual performance and company growth.

About the Payer Contracting Consultant Role

This role will play a crucial part in expanding access to Remo's innovative dementia care services by securing contracts for our affiliated medical practice with payers in multiple states. 

What you'll be doing :

  • Manage the entire contracting lifecycle with persistence. 

  • Experience negotiating MA plans

  • Identify and prioritize potential payer partners in targeted states.

    • A prioritized list of 20+ payers has already been compiled.

  • Clearly articulate Remo’s unique value proposition. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with payer representatives.

  • Oversee or complete and submit payer applications with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Negotiate favorable reimbursement rates and contract terms and incorporate knowledge of the market, value based care models and alternative payment arrangements into contract negotiations.

  • Track the progress of contract applications and maintain detailed records.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding contract status and any roadblocks.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may hinder contract execution.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and payer policies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., clinical, operations, finance) to ensure smooth contract implementation.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of payer contracting processes.

  • Facilitate contract execution in collaboration with General Counsel.
