WHY BOX NEEDS YOU


We're looking for a hands-on individual to join the Revenue Operations team as a Revenue Analyst. In this role you will support all global revenue recognition processes including booking entries and reconciliations. A successful candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast moving environment as well as have experience and a strong interest in the order to cash process.


WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Lead global revenue recognition processes including recording revenue in Netsuite, performing revenue related reconciliations, and provide analytical insights into revenue as needed to management.
  • Calculate and record the global bad-debt allowance reserve on a quarterly basis.
  • Maintain and record non-standard revenue adjustments on a monthly basis through collaboration with the technical accounting team.
  • Manage and complete assigned revenue related General Ledger reconciliations including Deferred Revenue and Accounts Receivable.
  • Prepare and present monthly revenue and balance sheet fluctuation analysis and participate in CFO review.
  • Accurately track and record Professional Services revenue (assist with BESP analyses as needed).
  • Assist with quarterly audit coordination for SOX certification and external audit support.
  • Coordinate cross functionally between sales, order management, collections and technical accounting to support customer concession requests.
  • Liaison with and assist the International Controllership team(s) with revenue related reporting, analysis and inquires. Support needs for local stat audits as requested.
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks related to Controllership & Finance as they arise.


WHO YOU ARE


  • Education/Experience
  • BA/BS from a college or university (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting – preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Revenue or Accounting at a public accounting firm and/or similar industry experience - preferred
  • Systems experience – Salesforce, Zuora, Netsuite, Blackline – preferred
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) – preferred
  • Passion for cloud technologies and system integrations
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards and unwavering integrity.
  • High functioning, working knowledge of relevant revenue GAAP
  • Solid revenue accounting, reconciliation and accounting process knowledge including comfort with multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
  • Strong system and data flow knowledge. Ability to learn and adapt to new flows and software technologies.
  • Strong analytical, research, problem solving and evaluative thinking skills.
  • Acute attention to detail and well developed organization and time management skills.
  • Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through.
  • Strong communication skills - including ability to listen to the needs of others and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present effectively in both oral and written presentations to all levels in the organization.
  • Team-oriented approach – can effectively lead a project or participate as an effective team member as well as work cross-functionally with other organizations.
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities, upbeat demeanor, and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of energy and a desire to thrive in a growing, complex, fast-paced organization; ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic, including the ability to work independently, but also knows how to have fun while doing it!
