Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The Opportunity:
The Associate Director of Internal Communications will play an important role in driving RevMed’s internal communications strategy and objectives. This includes developing approaches and tools to support employee engagement, understanding, alignment, and inclusion across the rapidly growing company.
This role will work closely with senior leaders to support their communication needs and partner cross-functionally, particularly with Human Resources, to bring the company’s culture and values to life with current and prospective employees. This individual will play an integral role in helping to connect employees to the patients to whom our work is committed.
This position will report to the Executive Director, Head of Communications.
Lead enhancement and implementation of RevMed’s internal communications strategy and work plan.
Support organization-wide initiatives and communications efforts, including: producing internal articles, orchestrating key employee events, and driving digital and multimedia storytelling that helps advance strategic goals.
Develop messages, content, and materials to support internal communications strategy, including all internal communication channels (email, intranet, town halls, employee events, digital signage, newsletters, videos, etc).
Develop and maintain editorial calendars to drive internal communications in line with company priorities and news flow.
Create and strengthen two-way channels for leadership/employee dialogue.
Drive communication and change management best practices, including educating the organization around communication norms/best practices.
Collaborate with HR to ensure employee communications are well coordinated and aligned with broader internal objectives and messaging.
In partnership with Patient Advocacy, use storytelling and events to bring our "tireless commitment to patients" into focus for employees.
Partner with IS to refresh and optimize the company’s intranet and other communications platforms.
Work closely with the Corporate Affairs team to ensure consistency in internal and external messaging, branding, and priorities for key milestones and data announcements.
Measure and report on internal communications activities and impact.
Serve as the trusted communications advisor.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
The successful candidate will be a highly organized, proactive, resourceful, self-motivated leader with a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality and a strong sense of urgency. They should possess a proven track record of setting, driving, and delivering on objectives and projects, and have demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with others.
Minimum of [8] years of communications experience with [3] years minimum in a biotech/pharmaceutical company or at a PR/communications agency working with biotech/pharmaceutical clients.
Demonstrated ability to design and execute ideas from planning, developing, benchmarking, measuring, etc.
Executive presence with the ability to collaborate, lead, facilitate, influence, and organize across groups and at multiple levels of an organization.
Excellent organizational savvy with willingness and ability to work independently, think creatively, and shift gears depending on changing priorities and deadlines.
Strong creative ability, knowing how to use creative design effectively to enhance employee understanding of business strategies and engagement.
Ability to turn complex ideas into stories easily understood by a broad audience.
Independent self-starter able to write quickly under deadline with attention to detail and accuracy.
Exceptional presentation development skills and strong PowerPoint skills.
Strong interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.
High energy and ability to create a positive working environment for colleagues and clients.
Proven ability to establish internal communication and change management best practices.
Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Communications/Public Relations or related field.
Preferred Skills:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $182,000 to $220,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
