We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and versatile professional to join our innovative coworking space as a Community Manager. This role combines operational management, community building, and executive support to create a thriving environment for our members, stakeholders and customers. Applicants can expect to start work immediately upon selection.


About Us:

The Wedge Innovation Center (The Wedge) will support early-stage, growth-driven companies through education, mentorship, and financing

  • The Wedge will house startups, space for individuals or teams, and more established companies who want to accelerate their businesses or develop new technologies, products, or systems 
  • The Wedge will be the home of the AltonWorks FiberNet made possible by funding from the State of Illinois
  • The Wedge will have a positive impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem, attracting interested businesses, investors, seed and early-stage financing, and media attention, all of which benefit the local and wider regional economy 
  • The Wedge is partnering with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to develop programs and services to support the entrepreneurial community and accelerate business development for maximum social impact

Key Responsibilities:

Office Management

· Support the CEO of The Wedge in overseeing daily operations of the coworking space, ensuring a smooth, efficient and safe environment

· Coordinate with vendors, facility managers and service providers to maintain essential services, supplies and overall cleanliness

· Implement and maintain office policies, procedures and workflows


Community Development and Support

· Foster a sense of community among members through networking events, workshops, and other activities

· Act as the primary point of contact for members, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional customer service

· Facilitate introductions and collaborations between members to enhance the community experience

· Conduct and facilitate tours for prospective members and manage the onboarding process for new members

· Schedule, post, and monitor social media content while responding to user interactions to foster community engagement and brand loyalty


Member Services

· Conduct and facilitate tours for prospective members and manage the onboarding process for new members

· Oversee membership agreements, billing, and invoicing via coworking reservation tools

· Manage meeting room bookings, event spaces and gatherings for members and tenants

· Collaborate with the executive team to organize innovation-focused events and programs

· Support startups and entrepreneurs by connecting them with resources and mentorship opportunities

· Track and report on key performance indicators related to the innovation center's impact


Executive Support

· Provide administrative support to the executive team as needed

· Manage executive calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements when required

· Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for executive review


Compensation and Benefits: 

$25-$35 per hour. In addition to a competitive hourly wage, we offer comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and discretionary performance-based bonuses.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

· Associates/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field

· 3+ years of experience in office management, community management, or a similar role; coworking space management or familiarity with Yardi Kube coworking software highly desired

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

· Experience in event planning and execution

· Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and coworking management software
