Within the Interiors Division, we specialize in creating innovative and safe interior solutions that keep passengers safe, comfortable, and connected throughout their journey.As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with a group of suppliers, ensuring that procurement activities run smoothly from order placement to product delivery. You will execute established processes and standards, contribute to achieving procurement goals, and drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize supplier performance. You will play a critical role in supporting our production line needs and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain the flow of materials and supplies.This will be a hybrid role (combination of onsite and remote work) based in Winston-Salem, NC and will require weekly onsite presence (average 3-4 days per week).What You Will Do:• Supplier Management: Oversee a group of suppliers from part setup and order placement to delivery, ensuring that procurement processes are timely and efficient.• Order & Payment Support: Manage purchase orders and payments, ensuring that all procurement-related activities are executed smoothly and in compliance with internal standards.• Performance Metrics: Generate and track key performance metrics to monitor progress toward individual and departmental goals, identifying areas for improvement.• Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, driving collaboration and continuous improvement activities to enhance supplier performance and reliability.• Trend Analysis & Risk Management: Use procurement tools to identify trends, potential supplier risks, and demand fluctuations. Work proactively to mitigate risks and resolve issues.• Shortage Management: Work closely with Planners and stakeholders to review and address critical shortages, collaborating with suppliers to improve delivery times and close gaps in supply.• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate the causes of overdue deliveries and lead efforts to implement permanent solutions that prevent recurrence.• Strategic Problem-Solving: Take the lead in identifying strategic solutions for ongoing challenges that prevent smooth order placement, ensuring operational efficiency.• Production Line Support: Provide purchasing support for production lines, ensuring materials are available and issues are resolved in a timely manner.• Leadership Projects: Contribute to various projects as directed by leadership, providing support and insights to drive procurement excellence.Qualifications You Must Have:• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
