Within the Interiors Division, we specialize in creating innovative and safe interior solutions that keep passengers safe, comfortable, and connected throughout their journey.As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing key supplier relationships and executing procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. You will leverage your commodity expertise to drive supplier performance and support the organization’s operational goals. You will lead negotiation efforts, conduct cost analyses, and ensure that procurement processes align with both organizational and customer requirements.This will be a hybrid role (combination of onsite and remote work) based in Winston-Salem, NC and will require weekly onsite presence (average 3-4 days per week).May be eligible for relocation.What You Will Do:• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring collaboration and alignment on goals. Foster trust to ensure on-time deliveries and address any supplier performance concerns.• Procurement Activities: Lead procurement processes for goods, materials, supplies, and services, ensuring terms and conditions are in the organization's best interest and that vendor relationships remain mutually beneficial.• RFPs and Negotiations: Prepare and execute Requests for Proposals (RFPs), conduct negotiations, and analyze costs to ensure the best value for the organization.• Order and Payment Management: Prepare and manage purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to maintain smooth procurement operations, under general guidance.• On-Time Delivery Support: Proactively collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of parts and materials, supporting customer requirements and production schedules.• Risk Management & Root Cause Analysis: Identify potential risks that could cause delivery delays. Perform thorough root cause analysis and work closely with suppliers to develop effective recovery plans to mitigate any disruptions.• Continuous Improvement: Drive actions that prevent future delays or disruptions by identifying and addressing systemic issues in the procurement process.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Planning, Production, and Quality to ensure alignment on procurement needs and support continuous improvement efforts.Qualifications You Must Have:• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
