JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist provides general HR services to employees and hospital leadership related to all aspects of the HR department. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining, administering and managing the hospital’s leave of absence (“LOA”) administrative processes. Ensures compliance with all internal policies and processes, as well as all federal and state law requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Position requires a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience. 1 to 3 years’ experience administering leave of absences and a working knowledge of the Americans with Disability Act (“ADA”), Family Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), California Family Rights Act (“CFRA”), Pregnancy Disability Leave (“PDL”) and Workers’ Compensation claims in a healthcare environment preferred. Experience working with a third party administrator managing leave of absences required. High level of people skills required, highly organized and strong time management skills.
Knowledge and Skills: Functional knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA and other California state leave and disability programs, including experience working with the California Workers’ Compensation System, OSHA recordkeeping, and compliance with federal and state OSHA requirements. Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Able to work independently in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of the interactive process and the reasonable accommodation requirements of the ADA. Able to manage/prioritize/complete multiple assignments and other duties as assigned to meet deadlines. Able to accept flexible job assignments as conditions change.

PAY RANGE
$29.23 - $43.85
