Second Dinner is an award-winning independent game development studio that is here to make the most fun games in the world. Not super fun games. Not SUPER DUPER fun games. We mean the MOST fun games. In fact, our game MARVEL SNAP has earned multiple Mobile Game of the Year Awards (Game Awards, DICE), Best Strategy Game (IGN), and the Apple Design Award for Innovation!

Second Dinner is a remote-first studio, so while we are headquartered in Irvine, California, most of our team is fully remote across the United States. If you can bring something new to the table and expand our point of view, that's a huge upside. Due to the unique nature of this role, it is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Our IT strategic pillars are to promote self-enablement, automation, and risk management.

Self-Enablement: We ensure employees across the country have the tools and support they need to succeed. From managing hardware like laptops and peripherals to providing access to essential software and collaboration tools, we enable seamless productivity for both in-office and remote teams. By empowering teams with impactful tools and fast, effective support, our IT team helps drive creativity, innovation, and collaboration across the organization.

Automation: We constantly look to improve our processes, leveraging AI, tools, and processes to enable more time spent on creative and strategic pursuits.

Risk Management: We work closely with central technology and security teams to maintain robust infrastructure, enforce data protection, and deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our company.

Your Role

We're seeking an enthusiastic mid-level IT Engineer to join our growing team. This role will be the second IT team member in our growing organization, providing frontline support and assistance to our team members in the office and remotely. This role requires full-time in-office support. The ideal candidate is ready to dive in, learn on the job, and grow with our company. What You'll Do:

  • Be our frontline support by independently providing friendly and efficient day-to-day hardware and software support to Second Dinner team members

  • Manage and troubleshoot core tools and services, including:

    • Okta (Single Sign-On)

    • Google Workspace

    • Slack

    • GitHub

    • Unity

    • Zoom

    • Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)

    • Microsoft 365

  • Field support needs for both MacOS and Windows PC environments, including:

    • Set up and configure new machines

    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues

    • Manage software updates and patches

    • Assist with data migration and backups

    • Oversee our MDM platforms and mobile devices (Microsoft InTune for Windows, Kandji for macOS)

  • Maintain hardware and software inventories

  • Document IT processes and create user guides

  • Support and work with the IT team to implement automation initiatives in the IT department

  • Collaborate and support the IT Manager and Security & Compliance Manager on various strategic projects

  • Stay current with IT best practices and emerging technologies

What You'll Need:

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and support processes

  • Familiarity with common business software and cloud applications

  • Working knowledge of both MacOS and Windows operating systems

  • Experience with basic troubleshooting and problem-solving in Mac and PC environments

  • Experience in a helpdesk or customer support role

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A friendly, patient, and service-oriented attitude

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in an IT role

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have, But Not Necessary:

  • Experience with any of our specific tools (Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts

  • Familiarity with IT security best practices

  • Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) systems

The total compensation for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 USD + equity + comprehensive benefits + potential for discretionary performance bonuses.

Individual pay within this salary range may span multiple levels within the discipline and is determined by assessed job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training. It also factors in market demands and business needs. The disclosed range is not adjusted based on location and may be subject to change or modification based on business needs in the future. Your recruiter can answer any questions about new hire total compensation during the hiring process.
