What You'll Contribute

The Senior Strategy Analyst role is designed for an analyst with experience in the student loan industry and knowledge of student loan banking practices/policies. This analyst position requires knowledge of a strategic area and experience with data mining, reporting, strategy development and analysis. Requires strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with other areas to ensure collaborative business goals are met. The analyst must also have proven abilities to manage multiple tasks at one time as well as exceptional presentation and organizational skills.

What You'll Do

Strategy Development & Implementation
- Works with various groups to understand business objectives and strategic goals.
- Utilizes analytical skills to determine opportunities to optimize strategies
- Creates and implements a deployment plan that is approved by the business for accomplishing each strategic goal.
- Assesses impact of strategic changes
Ad-hoc Analysis
- Responds to data and analytics requests from senior management team
- Creates analytical packages for upper-management based off business needs and trends.
- Conducts data mining and interpretation, determining significance, and presenting evidence-based conclusions in a PowerPoint presentation.

What You Have

Minimum Education, Skills and Experience Required

Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Accounting, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics) or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience with SAS, SQL, Business Objects, Oracle Business Intelligence, Crystal Reports Ability in financial services to effectively analyze and interpret large amounts of raw data to accurately convey business needs
Proficient with Microsoft Suite
Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively and concisely present key findings to senior management
Strong working knowledge in presenting quantitative data via PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
Ability to adjust to fluctuating work load with the pressure of aggressive deadlines
Solid knowledge of financial services industry and the products and services offered.
Ability to consistently meet expected deadlines
Ability to simultaneously manage and organize multiple projects
Ability to recognize/analyze/resolve system and procedural problems
Ability to lead and coordinate activities of a project group
Ability to perform well under pressure and to work independently with high levels of initiative
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to make decisions and recommendations with minimal consultation
