Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Backend & Native iOS Client Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing both mobile-specific backend services and mobile client applications in Native iOS. You will work closely with backend engineers, mobile developers, and full-stack engineers to deliver the next-generation ServiceNow mobile app. Our senior engineers are known for their deep technical expertise and exceptional coding skills, producing high-quality software.

Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop mobile-specific backend services and mobile client applications in Native iOS.

  • Follow an agile scrum process to iteratively design and build high-quality software. 

  • Build simple and intuitive software to enable customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their unique needs. 

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite. 

  • Mentor colleagues and foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the team. 

  • Take full lifecycle responsibility for software development, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and automation. 

  • Collaborate with other ServiceNow teams to integrate platform capabilities such as security, authentication, session management, and third-party integrations into the mobile architecture. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, an equivalent degree, or experience in software development as a graduate of a technological unit in the Israel Defense Forces, such as Unit 8200, is required. 

  • 3+ years of backend development experience, with significant hands-on experience in backend development. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding and practical knowledge of backend technologies and frameworks. 

  • Proven experience in mobile development is required, in iOS (using Swift), either through professional work or substantial academic projects. 

  • Proven experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning for mobile applications. 

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and libraries like Retrofit (with Gson or Moshi) for connecting mobile apps to backend services. 

  • Proficient understanding of Git and experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins. 

  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scalability considerations. 

  • JavaScript experience is an advantage. 

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. 

  • Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
