Job Description

As we pursue our goal of being the defining enterprise software company of the 21st century, go-to-market operations play a crucial role in defining the processes and technology we must use to scale to $20B+. We are looking for an execution-oriented operational thought leader that will shape our end-to-end go-to-market infrastructure to serve the business with efficient systems as processes, as well as identify and act upon simplification opportunities and performance improvement strategies and tactics to materially impact our results.

This role will work across Operations, Digital Technology, Learning and Development, and Product leadership to shape our go-to-market technology, process and practice roadmap as informed by best practices, leading solutions/practices available in the marketplace, as well as our current operating environment. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, multi-year roadmap with the Commercial and Customer organization as well as the Product and Digital Technology teams.

The VP, GTM Infrastructure and Automation position, reporting to the SVP, Global Strategy, Planning & Operations, comes with the opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming the business to drive lasting impact for the organization. The ideal candidate is a proven relationship builder, versatile, and an intellectually curious individual who can develop trust with key leaders and stakeholders across the organizations to epitomize elite execution.  The VP, GTM Infrastructure and Automation will be expected to demonstrate problem-solving skills, be proactive, and assist in ensuring the focus is on the highest priorities. This role will handle several principal duties, all focused on building operational excellence at global scale and delivering a world-class process, tools and technology experience for the commercial teams.  Therefore, the candidate must be able to combine strong execution and extensive domain experience/expertise with organizational savvy to drive action and results.

Own the global end-to-end go-to-market process, technology and tools roadmap. Define processes and solutions to enable consistency while supporting regional differences.  Lead, organize, and manage executive-level projects to explore and implement changes across the business in conjunction with functional leaders. 

  • Plan the future. Define, strategize, plan, drive and oversee the go-to-market infrastructure evolution required across the entire commercial organization.
  • Drive the roadmap.  Drive building the operational infrastructure roadmap across the end-to-end customer engagement process leveraging an industry-leading go-to-market tech stack.  Embed simplification into operational processes and talent.
  • Become a trusted advisor. Partner with senior business leaders on their strategic roadmap, understand their operational processes and identify simplification opportunities to create end-to-end solutions to scale business operations and ensure compliance.
  • Be proactive. Identify and recommend creative ideas to radically simplify our go-to-market operations.
  • Drive results. Own a portfolio of projects, and lead projects to achieve desired goals and benefits aligned to planned timelines and budgets.
  • Own the go-to-market process and technology portfolio, lead end-to-end responsibilities, and possibly manage 3rd party commercial best-of-breed solutions and the vendor relationships, as well as successful adoption of custom solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in Sales and Account Management, participate in evaluating new tools and techniques, and propose innovative solutions to enhance operational systems, processes, and governance practices.
  • Provide leadership and establish a culture that continuously strives towards best practice and operational excellence.
  • Be a thought-leader and influencer. Influence and coach a direct team as well as key stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience
  • Experience driving and guiding end-to-end process and technology transformation in a SaaS company.
  • Combined 10+ years of experience in the following areas: Sales operations, Go-to-market process definition and execution, Business model design and implementation, Go-to-market automation
  • Combines solid technical skills with business solution pragmatism. Is pragmatic, practical and execution-oriented.
  • Has experience delivering critical products and mission-critical services in a leadership role in Business Operations. Has a proven record of overcoming crises and leading teams through difficult situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an engaging personality. A proven ability to effectively interface with a diverse range of roles at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills. Able to influence, guide and convince. Has a history of having been a change agent. who people follow and admire.
  • Ability to manage change and ambiguity with an action-orientation/drive – must thrive in a dynamic environment. 
  • High energy, strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills, willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $223,300 - $379,700, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
