Shipping & Receiving Lead
Location: Coppell, TX (Full Time)
Position Overview
The Shipping and Receiving Lead is a very hands on role and will be responsible for managing inbound receiving, inventory control and outbound domestic and international shipments using Microsoft NAV and ACE Warehousing systems. Position reports to the Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Manages inbound receiving, ensuring timely receiving, accuracy and storage.
Leads Inventory control process, including put-away, location storage, pick location replenishment and inventory accuracy.
Owns the cycle count process and supports the yearly physical inventory process.
Manages outbound shipments to retailers ensuring compliance with routing guidelines and adherence to start ship and cancel dates.
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Verifies and keeps records on shipments and oversees preparation of items and paperwork for shipment, including verifying information for accuracy and compliance.
Leadership experience required – includes directing others in receiving, inventory control preparing outgoing shipments, including affixing shipping labels and marking of identifying information on cartons.
Requirements
At least 3-5 years shipping/receiving/inventory control experience
Demonstrated proficiency in processing EDI orders and using ERP systems (preferably Microsoft NAV)
Experience with freight forwarders and Bills of Lading
Understand shipping and logistics processes/requirements of retail partners, compliance with routing guides
Ability to perform in a fast -paced environment
Positive attitude and a team player
Strong attention to detail
