We know that health and wealth are connected in retirement. That’s why we’re reimagining how Americans are educated as they purchase Medicare. Our education first approach ensures that credit union members have access to always-on education that's personalized for them.   

As the Head of Silvur Insurance Services, you will lead our nationwide Medicare Agency which was launched in 2024. You will be responsible for expanding this new business line which will ensure that credit union members have access to the appropriate medicare policies during their retirement. We plan to have a nationwide footprint, leveraging the partnerships we have with financial institutions. We already have a group of partners in 5 states committed to rolling out the agency in 2025, providing you (and your team of agents) with a unique source of high quality leads. 

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train 10+ Medicare agents
  • Partner with  Product and Engineering to refine our 2024 initial go-to-market tech stack for the next round of scale (2025 and beyond)
  • Work with Silvur legal counsel and FMO to ensure that the Silvur Medicare Agency business practices comply with CMS rules and regulations. Obtain and renew licenses in all states that Silvur Insurance operates. 
  • Leverage your prior experience to build a multi-channel marketing and engagement campaign with attractive unit economics. Execution will be managed by our marketing team, but strategy and playbook will be developed by you.
  • Partner with FMO to ensure the appropriate carriers are available and that you and your agents are appointed in a timely manner. 
  • Partner with credit unions to create an experience that feels like an extension of the credit union experience. Understand that Medicare is 1 part of the retirement wallet and that cross sell opportunities are critical to the partnership being effective.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the agency including hiring, compliance, commission reporting
  • Work with product team to deepen set of products & services that can be offered by the Medicare agents
  • Set annual sales targets, and exceed goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in insurance sales and operations, preferably Medicare. Prior experience running an agency (or working for a carrier) and hiring agents is essential
  • Deep understanding and appreciation of CMS marketing rules and regulations
  • Experience building Medicare operations including: commission reconciliation, sales automation and measurement, marketing compliance management processes
  • Makes data informed decisions. Comfortable using CRMs and other data sources to build, execute and refine sales strategy
  • Experience building data driven D2C marketing playbook across multiple channels (email, text, direct mail, and more)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong sales ability, business acumen, and commercial awareness
  • Possess a combination of analytical and strong communication capabilities: you’re able to dive into sales data to generate insights, develop sales strategies, and adjust plans to ensure that targets are met
  • Experience hiring and developing best-in-class agents
  • Love working in small companies where you can see the impact of your work
  • Have a bias for action

You will be an employee of our agency Silvur Insurance Services. Employees receive a total compensation package including salary, options, health benefits and 401k with employer contribution. You can choose the technology you need to make you excel in your role. This role will require in-person time (with travel across the USA)  both with our financial institutions and the leadership of Silvur Technology Services, our holding company

Compensation: $150,000 (band based on experience) plus equity and incentive compensation
