This hands-on role will work with product owners, engineers, and architects to develop, implement, and mature a DevOps culture for some of our largest enterprise clients. You will be responsible for supporting build teams by setting up CI/CD processes, establishing a release cadence, and ensuring that deployments are scheduled and executed efficiently. In addition, you will be expected to provide feedback and suggestions on process improvement and tooling recommendations.As a DevOps Architect, you will help in the pursuit of new business opportunities as a DevOps expert, detailing assessment and delivery proposals. Your expertise will benefit the rest of Slalom as you lead communities through thought leadership and mentorship of our DevOps and Salesforce teams. You will also have the opportunity to manage Salesforce DevOps Engineers in their careers. As we continue our growth, you will develop strong, lasting relationships with each member of your team, guiding them, mentoring and growing their skills, and being their proxy and advocate for staffing on projects and clients. Our Global Salesforce team is looking to add a passionate Principal or Senior Principal to take on the role of DevOps Architect within our Salesforce practice.Responsibilities• Develop and implement complex automation tasks and cloud architecture• Advocate DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods, and cultural practices within Slalom and with our clients• Assist with estimating work efforts and story pointing required for each phase of an agile project• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers, less experienced engineers, and client personnel• Identify, qualify, and raise technical risks and issues• Troubleshoot problems and automate responses for recurrent issues• Design and build innovative, high-value CI/CD pipelines to deploy and manage Salesforce solutions• Work with clients to meet business needs and solve problems• Help develop project case studies, technology documentation, and training• Help grow our culture of learning by taking part in and coordinating opportunities such as presenting at technical conferences, community groups, writing blog articles, and contributing to partner-coordinated workshops• Identify opportunities for growth/maturation of DevOps offerings, and help set the direction for that growth• Be a trusted advisor to client enterprise architects and program managers• Build and develop relationships with DevOps Alliance partners as Slalom Global team leads, and market practice leaders• Support recruiting and onboarding of new employees Qualifications• Minimum 5 years working on the Salesforce Platform in Development• 3+ years of experience in Salesforce Release Management• Experience in the sandbox and environment management• Experience managing Salesforce DevOps processes across multiple organizations and business units• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines• Experience implementing and using tools such as GIT (or other version control systems), Jekins, AutoRABIT, Copado, Flosum, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Salesforce DX or other equivalent tools• Active certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire• Experience collaborating across multiple functional and/or technical teams to deliver an Agile-based project• Ability to communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into technical solutions• Excellent mentoring and leadership skillsAbout UsSlalom is a purpose-led, global business and technology consulting company. For this position at the Principal level the base salary pay range is $122,000 to $225,000. For this position at the Senior Principal level the base salary pay range is $140,000 to $258,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
