The Opportunity


We are looking for an experienced brand social media manager to build and grow our social media presence from the ground up. In this role, you’ll fully own and drive the company’s presence via existing and new social channels by engaging with our existing audience and growing new ones. If you’re a quick, opinionated, and innovative thinker who’s excited to develop, execute, and iterate upon a key creative strategy for the Springboard brand, this role could be the perfect fit for you!


Salary for this contract role: $4,500/month


Responsibilities


  • Work with the marketing and content teams to build and execute a top-notch social media strategy that aligns with overarching business and brand objectives and aims to improve the full marketing funnel (increasing brand awareness, engagement, consideration, and conversion)
  • Develop and oversee growth and engagement strategy, responsible for increasing + growing audience reach and engagement metrics on owned social channels
  • Own all Springboard social channels, conversations, and content development
  • Own elements such as the content development and process, channel intentions and voice, social media content calendar, and publishing cadence
  • Directly engage with our audience and own all conversations on social channels
  • Stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices, competitive activity, and other social media leaders to bring early adopter technologies and trends
  • Track, analyze, and optimize social media performance
  • Partner with Paid Media team to run any paid campaigns on social channels 


You


  • Bring 3-4+ years of relevant experience in managing social channels, defining and developing strategy, and digital audience engagement, ideally in a highly cross-functional environment
  • Understand the full marketing funnel and what levers to pull to move the needle 
  • Are highly analytical and enjoy working with data
  • Have a demonstrated ability to define, run, and iterate upon experiments and paid social media campaigns 
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and are an expert at handling multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Are an expert at using social channels such as Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and more and have a passion for staying up-to-date with the rapidly changing social media landscape
  • Are excited to build out our social brand strategy from the ground up and bring new ideas to the table that push the boundaries and infuse creativity into our social content strategy


Scope of work


  • Work hand-in-hand with our internal teams (content and marketing) to develop a solid in-house social media strategy and execute on that strategy. The strategy should be inclusive for our current audience, as well as forward-thinking to include how we may be able to grow and scale. This work will consider factors like:


  • Channels audit — what’s working, what’s not
  • Competitor audit
  • Experimental ideas for growth
  • Better engagement of our existing communities on all platforms
  • Better distribution of our content 
  • A future growth strategy that takes into account our university partnerships business and our B2B business 
  • Ideas for partnerships/distribution
  • Ideas for new content types, including partnering with influencers/hosts, etc.
