We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at an elementary school near Seymour, Connecticut. This is a full-time position in a resource classroom setting, providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.Key Responsibilities:• Provide individualized instruction and support to students in the resource room• Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment• Monitor and report student progress toward academic and social-emotional goals• Utilize various teaching methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning stylesRequirements:• Active Connecticut Special Education Teaching License• Experience working with elementary students in a special education setting• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation• Excellent communication and collaboration skills• Passion for supporting the growth and development of students with special needsInterview Process:10-15 minute screening call with a Soliant Education Recruiter20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School DistrictOffer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interviewA dedicated & qualified Science Teacher looking to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.
