NDE Level II Inspector, Eddy Current (ET)

As an NDE Level II Inspector at SpaceX, your main responsibilities include performing surface and volumetric nondestructive evaluations (NDE) on flight components and production assemblies. You will interpret and communicate findings to ensure that production and engineering teams are informed and equipped to maintain safety and quality standards. You're also expected to assist in developing NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries and support training within the team to foster skill development.

To qualify as an NDE Level II Inspector at SpaceX, you need a high school diploma or equivalent, alongside a Nondestructive Evaluation Level II certification in accordance with ASNT TC-1A, NAS-410, or DOD guidelines for eddy current (ET). Preferred candidates may hold additional certifications in other NDE methods, have operational experience in aerospace settings, and possess strong computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Ideal candidates for the NDE Level II Inspector position at SpaceX generally have at least 2 years of experience performing nondestructive evaluation/testing inspections, particularly within the aerospace industry.
