Plant Engineer (Starlink)

SpaceX is looking for a Senior Plant Engineer to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and efficiency of mechanical systems at the Starlink Production facility in Bastrop, TX.

Skills

Proficiency in clean-room design and maintenance
Experience in designing and maintaining industrial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Ability to assist technicians with troubleshooting and repair efforts effectively
Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards like ASHRAE, NFPA, and International Building Code
Strong understanding of construction project management principles

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for the design, operation, improvement, and troubleshooting of all facility mechanical components and systems
Coordinate downtime activities between maintenance, construction, and production teams
Drive mechanical system improvement projects using design change requests and advanced detection methods
Troubleshoot mechanical system problems and formulate maintenance protocols
Oversee equipment installation, operation, and maintenance

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline
