Software Developer

Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer in Patuxent River, MD.  Spalding Consulting, Inc. is a professional services company delivering cutting-edge solutions to the Department of Defense since 2001. Position Type: Full-Time/Contingent

Salary: Starting at$102k (depending on experience)
Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office. (see onsite requirements below)

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training/tasking may require occasional on-site work at Patuxent River, MD. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.


Essential Functions:

  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
  • May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
  • May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Required:

  • Experience in software development required.
  • BS/BA degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 3 years related experience, OR AA/AS degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 7 years related experience, OR HS diploma/GED and 9 years related experience.

Security Clearance:
Active Secret or Interim Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.


Education:
BS/BA degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 3 years related experience, OR AA/AS degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 7 years related experience, OR HS diploma/GED and 9 years related experience.
