Special Investigator

What You'll Do:
The Corporate Investigations Unit is looking for a Special Investigator to join the team! This position is responsible for investigating reports of suspected fraudulent activity and effectively handling a case load of investigations. You'll apply your subject matter expertise, analyze facts, data, evidence and persons of interest to investigate allegations of fraudulent activity both internally and externally. This role is crucial to the team in protecting Principal's assets, brand, and reputation by investigating allegations of fraud and misconduct!

Other types of things you’ll do:

  • Determine the most effective and professional investigative steps needed to mitigate fraudulent or unethical activity.
  • Partner with external SIU investigators, law enforcement, and internal partners as needed and document case details, facts, decisions, and outcomes to ensure accurate records are kept. Additionally, provide guidance to customer facing positions on ways to identify potential fraudulent activity.
  • Prepare written reports that accurately and precisely present relevant facts concerning cases reviewed and/or investigated.

Who You Are:

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience investigating one or more of the following: financial crimes, internal/external fraud, policy violations, anti-money laundering, international organized crime and/or a combination of.
  • 2+ years fraud analysis or law enforcement experience.

  • Simultaneously handle multiple, complex cases.
  • Work across multiple systems, databases, and applications.
  • Make prudent, independent decisions in a timely manner.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $63800 - $121200 / year Additional Information:

Work Environments

This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
