This position is responsible for providing essential generalist support to the larger team which includes the ER Investigations, EEO Compliance, and Corporate Policy COEs. Primary job responsibilities include oversight of ER systems and shared folders housing highly confidential information, point of contact for general ER inquiries, providing team operational support, ensuring internal communication sites are updated, and supporting efforts to comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESActively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Effectively communicate and coordinate across the ER team, with corporate partners, and field HR.Maintain team org charts, mailboxes, and DLs. Monitor general mailboxes and handle or route inquiries as appropriate.Manage access to the team’s shared folders, systems, and confidential electronic files.Process document requests (investigation case files, policies, reports, etc.) from Legal and HR.Administer onboarding/offboarding processes for ER team members, ensuring appropriate access and permissions to files, systems, etc. based on job role.Manage the procurement process, contracts, and invoices for ER vendors (systems, legal, policy, etc.) Act as the primary team contact for facilities, supplies, seating charts, etc.Support the company’s compliance with DOL, EEOC, and OFCCP laws and regulations by fielding questions from filed HR and escalating as needed. Responsible for monitoring the HR Compliance system for changes in employment-related laws and regulations in Charter’s footprint, creating change summaries, and communicating to stakeholders.Maintain master files of approved corporate policies, state/local policies and notices, and leadership guidelines; maintain online and folder archives of sunset or replaced versions. Maintain and regularly update the HR SharePoint site; ensuring key documents, policies, guidelines and other resources are accurately uploaded and accessible to HR partners.Partner with corporate teams to ensure electronic versions of policies are properly posted and accessible to stakeholders and employees. Conduct regular audits of posted documents to ensure correct placement and permissions, version control, working links, etc.Assist with drafting and reviewing new or updated policies, notices, guidelines, communications, etc.Maintain HR contacts at each US company location and coordinate physical postings of employment posters, policies, etc. to ensure the company’s legal and regulatory compliance.Conduct research using subscription services and the Internet to present to stakeholders.Coordinate team meetings and events.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and HRMS database systems• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills• Researching information to influence stakeholders• Highly organized and detail-oriented• Ability to handle multiple priorities while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations• Creating presentations to influence stakeholders• Exercising independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance• Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment• Operational knowledge of U.S. employment laws• Ability to work independently while consistently meeting deadlines and deliverables• Critical thinking and analytical skills• Ability to identify and resolve issues• Ability to develop and maintain business relationships• Ability to handle/prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyRequired EducationAssociate’s degree in human resources or related (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years2 + years Professional experience in human resources, employee relations, employment law, or related fieldsPreferred Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeTraining and/or certification in human resources, employee relations, and/or employment (e.g., HRCI-PHR, SHRM-CP)Preferred EducationBachelor’s degree in human resources or relatedWORKING CONDITIONS• Office environment• Occasional short-term travel (less than 10%)• This position is eligible for our Hybrid Work Policy.
