The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is looking for someone to assist the team with the daily operations of the central warehouse.Principle DutiesAs a Warehouse Worker I, you will:• Work at the front desk answering incoming calls, greeting patrons, and assisting with locating items for pick up, etc.• Load and unloads material, supplies, and/or equipment.• Conduct regular and/or spot check inventories of merchandise, supplies, or equipment.• Maintain accurate records and logs.• Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available. Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies.The Ideal CandidateThe best person for the position will:• Have current forklift certification or the ability to obtain onePreferencesPreference may be given to those with experience with a forklift and experience working in a warehouse.Supplemental InformationHere is some information you should be aware of:• This is a part time, non-benefited position. The schedule is Monday to Friday, approximately 25 hours a week. Hours may vary.• Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with or around hazardous chemicals, etc.• The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas, etc.Why Should You Join Our Team?The work we do matters.
