We ensure that Stripe’s objectives align with the compensation program and that our sales teams are paid accurately and timely. We provide thought leadership for the go-to market initiatives so that performance and compensation are effectively correlated. The Sales Comp team partners closely with the revenue generating and support functions across Stripe to support the success of our sales efforts.What you’ll doStripe’s Sales Compensation Team has an opening for an experienced systems analyst to be responsible for the effective implementation and ongoing use of the Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tool. This person will need both sales compensation knowledge and proven experience as the business owner for the compensation calculation tool used to pay our sales force.The right person for this position will be someone who is passionate about sales compensation and comfortable working as a program manager for a compensation system. This candidate will need to have experience working across all levels and functions of an organization (preferably in a high growth environment) to handle questions and escalations and deliver accurate compensation on time. The role requires resilience and the ability to both partner and lead in cross-functional situations. Proven leverage of analytics and quantitative data to calculate and validate compensation is required.This role can be based out of South San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Chicago, or Remote-US (preference to on-site 50% of time).Responsibilities• Complete the in-progress implementation of the ICM tool to enable compensation calculations based on Stripe’s sales compensation models.• Conduct testing to ensure the ICM correctly calculates payments due.• Work closely with other systems and data teams to enable the performance data to directly feed into the ICM.• Ensure the accurate and timely compensation each quarter to the entire sales force through the ICM.• Distribute quarterly compensation statements to the sales force.• Maintain the accurate salesforce hierarchy and payment structures.• Build and maintain reporting dashboards for use at the individual, management, and executive levels.• Distribute annual sales compensation plans in the ICM.• Lead training and provide support to ICM users.• Have an in-depth understanding of the sales compensation structures used at Stripe.• Have an in-depth understanding of the sales function, product priorities, and individual sales team characteristics at Stripe.Who you areWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum Requirements• BS or BA in Business, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Math, or Statistics.• 6+ years of experience in a Sales Compensation or Sales Operations role.• 3+ years as a key point of contact using an Incentive Compensation Management tool such as (e.g. Callidus, Captivate IQ, Varicent, Xactly).• 3+ years involved in the sales compensation design process.• Experience with CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau).• Strong logic, problem solving, and Excel modeling skills.• Very organized and attentive to detail, with excellent prioritization skills that allow you to consistently deliver quality results on time.• Ability to forge strong bonds, work collaboratively with, and influence internal partners such as other Sales channels, Finance, and Business Applications.• Ability to handle escalations and urgent compensation requests with poise.Preferred Qualifications• MBA or applicable Masters degree• SQL programming experience• Sales compensation design experienceHybrid work at StripeThis role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.Pay and benefitsThe annual US base salary range for this role is $133,800 - $200,700. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
