The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is seeking a Childcare / Summer Camp Teacher for its NC 4-star school in Concord. Position can be full-time or part-time. Pay rate of $14-18 per hour

Pay rate is determined by relevant education and experience. Candidates with a high school diploma and limited experience will be paid at the lower end of the range. Candidates with EDU 119 to an associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field may be paid mid-range. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field and applicable experience may be paid at the higher end of the range.

Summer Camp Teacher Duties:

  • Plan outdoor activities or sports for groups of campers.
  • Lead recreational and educational activities, such as swimming or crafting.
  • Educate campers through games and explorations.
  • Make sure all safety rules are followed.
  • Safely transport children to/from field trip in small bus.

Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Implement our award-winning curriculum in a way that meets children's learning styles.
  • Provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Document and share with families the important milestones in a child’s day using our app.
  • Have fun!
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record for Summer Camp
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with children in a licensed center setting preferred.
  • BSAC course required for summer camp and degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Energetic and positive personality.
  • EDU 119, NCECC, or a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required for teacher positions
