Updated:July 19, 2024Location:Bridgewater, NJ, United StatesJob ID:5126-OTHLOC-Ce9wYfwBReporting to the National Project Director, the Key Account Director (KAD) will be responsible for the development and execution of the key customers and accounts plans, in collaboration with other stakeholders to ensure long term success. The KAD will drive strategic initiatives and develop product advocates among influential associates and will be the primary point of contact for large key customers. This is a national field-based role.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESHigh level of business and financial acumen and ability to identify strategies with greatest business impact. Demonstrated success in formulating, implementing and executing business plans in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.Responsible for creating plans specific to key accounts that encompass meeting/exceeding launch and long-term goals and that align with national and regional strategy.Demonstrates peer leadership with field sales teams, cross-functional partners, and internal leadership.Achieve targets and objectives set by senior leadership.Establish and maintain high level of disease state, clinical and product knowledge.Develop working relationship with key opinion leaders (KOLs), Large Regional, Area & National Accounts, which will positively impact treatment and disease state management.QUALIFICATIONS, CAREER EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSBachelors’ Degree required, Masters degree in preferred in Life Sciences or related.Proven track record of success and experience in start-up biopharma and/or diagnostics company.10+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry, preferably in specialty therapeutics.Oncology and/or Urology therapeutic experience including is highly preferred, rare disease experience valuable.Product launch experience and a minimum of 1-year prior experience leading teams, or direct leadership/management of a field-based Oncology team preferred.Cross-functional experience to include roles such as sales operations, training, and account management, in addition to marketing and other roles is preferred.Experience in selling and leading teams in specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement, J code experience preferred.Understand buy and bill, contracting, distribution/wholesaler channels, pricing structures, chargeback programs, institutional sales, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs).Proven experience of cross-functional collaboration with diverse stakeholders.Business Acumen:Highly accountable for the results and outcomes of their core responsibilities and understands the impact of their efforts, results, and attitudes on others.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment with excellent prioritization and organizational skills.High strategic and analytical agility, ability to understand complex business obstacles/opportunities, and sound judgment to set objectives and direction to drive results.Highly effective interpersonal and presentation (written and verbal) skills.Detailed understanding of industry trends and PBC market insights.Extensive knowledge of compliance guidelines and regulations that affect the field sales teams.Willingness to travel domestically up to 60%.LeadershipBusiness AcumenCustomer FocusedDrives for ResultsAt Syneos Health, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
