Working on the Platform Department

We're not just building software but scaling the infrastructure to measure diet quality as a vital sign and improve food as medicine outcomes across the healthcare industry. 

We are seeking an experienced Technical Leader to join our Back Office Team within the Platform Department, driving the systems that ensure our customers receive their prescriptions: food! In this role, you’ll take ownership of our order management system, overseeing processes from fulfillment to delivery.

You’ll collaborate with a skilled team of engineers, researchers, designers, and product professionals to design and implement key components of our product and platform—making a meaningful impact on the lives of Americans through food.

What You'll Get to Do

• Ownership: Lead all technical aspects of the Back Office domain from planning to prioritization to execution.

• Leadership: Work with Executives and key stakeholders to understand the business and design scalable systems to get orders through their lifecycle—mentor fellow engineers to have a greater impact within the organization.

• Velocity: Constantly look to improve the performance, maintainability, and operations of the Tangelo codebase by via refactoring and upgrade projects.

• Quality: Improve the instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting of your team’s production software to drive operational excellence.

• Communication: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work closely across teams, time zones, and dependencies.

• Impact: Demonstrate sound business judgment and proven ability to influence others and make excellent business and technical decisions.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• 15+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with expertise in building a wide range of applications.

• Strong coding skills, with proficiency in object-oriented programming languages.

• A customer-first mindset, ensuring the end-user is at the center of every decision.

• A customer-centric approach to product development, focusing on creating robust, scalable, accessible, and user-friendly solutions.

• 0-to-1 experience, with a strong inclination toward shipping quickly, learning iteratively, and maintaining a high standard of quality.

• A proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams and partners.

Preferred Skills for Strong Candidates

• REST or GRPC APIs.

• Deployment, monitoring, and alerting of systems.

• HIPPA-compliant environment.

• Internal Admin Tools.

Compensation Philosophy

The compensation range listed represents the total cash value, which includes a combination of base salary and an annual cash bonus for non-sales roles or variable compensation for sales roles. This range does not account for equity, which is included in the overall compensation package.

Compensation estimates are based on market data about the role and level, while individual compensation offers will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
