Your challenge:

As a Legal Counsel at Taxfix, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to make personal finances simple and accessible for everyone. This dynamic position will have you at the crossroads of law and strategy, providing comprehensive legal support across diverse functions. Your expertise will empower seamless operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and help shape strategic decisions, making you a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organization.

Your responsibilities:

• Commercial Excellence: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with vendors, clients, and business partners to ensure legal security and alignment with company objectives.

• Cross-Functional Guidance: Provide tailored legal advice to teams across product, marketing, HR, and beyond to support strategic goals while maintaining compliance.

• Data Privacy Leadership: Champion GDPR compliance, conduct privacy impact assessments, and manage data processing agreements to safeguard Taxfix’s data integrity and reputation.

• Strategic Support: Play a critical role in company acquisitions and post-merger integrations, ensuring smooth transitions and operational alignment.

• Corporate Governance: Manage key governance activities, such as preparing board materials, drafting shareholder resolutions, and supporting corporate restructurings.

• Process Optimization: Develop and maintain legal templates, tools, and automated processes to streamline workflows and maximize efficiency.

• Regulatory Awareness: Monitor emerging legal and regulatory trends, including digital tax advisory developments, and proactively assess their impact on Taxfix.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Address and resolve ad hoc legal requests, ensuring timely, pragmatic, and business-friendly solutions.
  
  

Your profile:

• Qualified Legal Expertise: German-qualified lawyer with initial professional experience (completed second state exam is a plus).

• Contract Savvy: Proficiency in commercial law with demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating contracts.

• Versatile Learner: A natural curiosity and drive to engage with diverse legal domains and expand your knowledge in the markets where Taxfix operates.

• Privacy & Compliance Focus: Familiarity with GDPR and other European regulations (e.g., AI, AML) is highly desirable.

• Team-Oriented: Collaborative and proactive team player with a commitment to supporting cross-functional projects that are business-critical.

• Multilingual Proficiency: Exceptional command of German and English (C2 level); additional fluency in Spanish or Italian is a strong advantage.

• Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building relationships across all levels of the organization.

• Growth Mindset: A curiosity to grow and develop in new legal and regulatory areas.
