About the positionThe Budget Analyst plays a critical role in managing and analyzing budget information for the Assured Access to Space portfolio. This position requires expertise in financial management and budget analysis within the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition framework, particularly in space program environments. The analyst will support various financial management processes, including Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), while advising senior leadership on budget compliance and implications.Responsibilities• Develop, integrate, and analyze budget information through all phases of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process for the Assured Access to Space portfolio,• Provide budget expertise and research to support POM development, Budget Execution Reviews, and other financial management and execution reviews,• Prepare response strategies to avoid potential budget cuts; may require revisions to budget allocations and reprogramming actions,• Expert analysis and reconciliation of current, prior, and cancelling year budgets,• Advise senior leadership of budget propriety, new start implications and compliance with other legal and DoD regulatory guidanceRequirements• Bachelor's degree in math, business/economics, finance, accounting, engineering, or statistics is required,• A minimum of eight (8) years of DoD Acquisition Financial Management and/or Budget Analysis experience, including a minimum of five (5) years working in a space program environment,• Secret Security Clearance is required,• U.S. citizenship is required,• Launch and Range acquisition and execution experience is highly desirable,• Familiarity with DTM 09-025 Space Systems Acquisition Policy (SSAP), DoD Instruction 5000.02, the DoD FMR and applicable Air Force and Space Force Instructions,• Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process, budget planning, formulation, programming, execution, justification documentation/reporting, program documentation development, and program reporting,• Experience with tools and systems such as FM-Suite, CCaR, Wide Area Workflow, myInvoice, GAFS, MOCAS, PMRT, IDECS, CRIS, PIEE, DEAMS, ADVANA, PowerBI, and Excel,• Familiarity with the National Intelligence Community budget cycle is a plusNice-to-havesBenefits• Comprehensive health, dental, life, long and short-term disability insurance,• 100% Company funded Retirement Plans,• Generous vacation, holiday and sick pay plans,• Tuition assistance
