1:1 Support for Adult Male with Developmental Disabilities

Cedars of Marin provides day programs and residential opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Cedars began in 1919, and for more than a century our person-centered programs and services have supported hundreds of clients in living creative, productive, joyous and healthy lives.

We are seeking a full-time 1:1 in our Community Connections program to work directly with a young man, providing support for him to participate in various activities including music and arts & crafts. You will help with the oversight of his day to day functions, and provide support in a manner that ensures his health, safety and happiness.

Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm. The hourly rate of pay is $21.00.

  • Experience in supporting adults with developmental disabilities is strongly desired.
  • A desire to help others achieve their full potential.
  • Medical background, skills, and terminology is a plus.
  • Ability to think ahead and take initiative.
  • English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to drive a passenger van. A valid CA driver's license and 3 years of driving experience.
  • Proficient in the use of email.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire both.
  • Ability to pass an occupational employment physical including a TB test, and meet the physical requirements of the job.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ.
