Spanish LatAm Freelance Translator

Spanish LatAm Freelance Translator

We’re looking for a freelance translator to help us localise and proofread our content into Spanish LatAm. The content to translate and review will include both: marketing copy such as news, marketing campaigns and emails, and technical product-related information such as user manuals, getting started guides and product descriptions. The linguist should be comfortable with both translation and proofreading tasks and ideally have a good understanding of the industry and audio products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate a range of material from English into Spanish LatAm
  • Proofread already translated content 
  • Transcreate marketing materials, such as product taglines
  • Occasionally collaborate with the Localisation Manager and other linguists to create reference material for your language (e.g. glossaries, style guide)

Abilities & Experience

  • Native Spanish LatAm speaker 
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Degree in translation (or language-related subject) or at least 2 years of experience as a translator/reviewer
  • Experience in technical translation; ability to follow technical documentation
  • Understanding of the importance of the industry terminology and its consistency
  • Preferably, experience or interest in music or creative industries
