Position Purpose:Maximize The Home Depot' s competitive business advantage by providing expertise and leadership to ensure a fully integrated public health response that sets the standard for excellence, enhances the quality of life and prevents illness and infection. The key responsibilities will be:Provide strategic oversight, partner coordination and leadership for The Home Depot's response to Public Health emergencies (e.g., pandemics, outbreaks, etc.). Survey and monitor the U.S., North America, and world for potential Public Health threats and develop response plans if applicable. Research and benchmark peer employers' Public Health approach, including areas such as prevention, environmental health, disease prevention, outbreaks and recovery programs. Collaborate with department peers, creating opportunities to infuse Public Health programs and initiatives into other benefit offerings (e.g., vaccine program). Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:Responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, negotiation, and evaluation of all Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Leave of Absence programs. Includes evaluation and updating of the policies and procedures and appropriate vendor management. Responsible for the development and management of all budgets, reporting and metrics. Ongoing oversight, strategy development, and management of all programs related to integrated disability programs. Select, develop, and manage team to support health management programs throughout THD. Responsible for developing an evidenced based strategy for Building Better Health wellness programs, including program design and metrics. Work with VP to develop associated risk-based surveillance programs. Partner with Workers' Compensation and Benefits to develop an integrated disability management strategy. This includes assessing overlaps in resources and programs, maximizing vendor relationships and development of communication plan. Develop synergies between Disability and WCC to create an integrated Return to Work program. This includes the development of policies and procedures, as well as the initiation of clinical analyses to ensure proper management of the program. Develop medical protocols in combination with Environmental Health and Safety for development of any preventive medical programs such as ergonomics, back programs etc. Serve as Occupational Health Risk Management liaison to Benefits, WCC, and EHS. Provide, ability, and program management for Aviation, travel, and International Health Nature and Scope:Typically reports to the Sr. Director of Benefits and Health Management Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring, and reviewing work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development. Environmental Job Requirements:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel:Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time. Standard MinimumQualifications:Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Education Required:The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. Years of Relevant WorkExperience:7years Certifications & Licenses:MD or RN with advanced clinical degree & MPH, MBA, or equivalent graduate mgt. degree. 5 years Health Management field Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. AdditionalQualifications:Familiarity with information systems business acumen/mindset.
