Vice President of Brand Content & Media

Job Summary:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Content, Creative, & Media will lead the strategic development and execution of the brand's content, creative, social media, and public relations efforts. This role is responsible for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences, driving brand visibility, and ensuring consistency across all channels. The SVP will oversee a multi-disciplinary team to deliver innovative, high-impact campaigns that align with the company’s goals and enhance its global presence. This position ensures all global content and media is delivered on time and within budget.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy Development:

Craft and implement a holistic brand strategy that aligns with the company’s vision, driving awareness, engagement, and loyalty across all consumer touchpoints.

Oversee the evolution of the brand identity, ensuring it remains relevant and distinctive in the physician-dispensed and direct-to-consumer markets.

Content Strategy & Execution:

Develop and manage a content strategy that drives brand storytelling, product education, and customer engagement across all existing and new digital & physical executions.

Oversee content production across platforms including social media, education, e-commerce, and email marketing.

Creative Direction / TOV + Messaging:

Lead the creative team in developing innovative content across all channels, including digital, print, and video.

Ensure all creative assets & messaging align with the brand’s guidelines and resonate with target audiences globally.

Oversee the creation and maintenance of global brand toolkits, guidelines, and image libraries.

 

Social Media Management:

Lead the social media team in executing strategies that enhance brand visibility and foster community engagement.

Monitor and analyze social media trends to optimize efforts across platforms.

Public Relations & Communications:

Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy to enhance brand reputation and visibility.

Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and stakeholders.

Oversee PR agencies to ensure alignment with the brand’s voice and values.

Event Strategy & Management:

Lead the planning and execution of brand events, including product launches, influencer events, and industry conferences.

Ensure events align with brand objectives and positively impact brand awareness and sales.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Manage the global content and creative team and oversee onboarding of external agencies & talent.

Provide strategic and tactical leadership across all creative areas, ensuring global consistency and excellence.

Budget Management:

Oversee the Global brand Content & Media department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective initiatives aligned with business goals.

Evaluate and optimize the ROI of all brand-related activities.

Agency & Vendor Management:

Lead relationships with Creative, PR, and social agencies, ensuring all campaigns align with brand goals.

Manage contract negotiations and vendor relationships for creative development, content, social, PR, and events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with SVP Global Brand Marketing, Product Development, Sales, Ecomm, Insights, Education and other teams on product promotions & Brand initatives.

Collaborate with the US and International Markets, ensuring adherence to global brand guidelines.

Work closely with Global Education, Ecomm, and HR teams on various initiatives.

Financial Accountability:

Manage the department's budget, with shared responsibility for revenue outcomes.

Collaborate with Finance to ensure budgets are maintained and risks are addressed.

Qualifications & Competencies:

Seasoned leader with creative sensibility and vision specific to the skincare industry.

15+ years of related experience in content creation, creative direction, and 2D/3D design in prestige or luxury markets.

Bachelor’s degree in a creative field required, advanced education highly desired.

Proven leadership with significant team management experience.

Outstanding communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

Experience in international markets and managing global teams.

Ability to multi-task and plan effectively with practiced negotiation skills.

Strong network of senior-level contacts in the beauty, creative, PR, social, and media industries.
