Merchandising Manager

The Rounds is the portal for managing everything that comes in/out of your home, i.e. your AI-powered personal Psychic Home Manager. We’re looking for a driven Merchandising Manager to own the performance, strategy, and growth of a subset of our grocery categories. This hands-on role will drive growth by developing a deep understanding of our Members, managing vendor relationships, expanding product offerings, negotiating smart deals, and enhancing our Member experience through unmatched site merchandising. You will also be responsible for owning key projects from the start to drive strategic growth. The Rounds has a strong in-person office culture. We believe our best work happens when we’re in the same space together. This role is on site in our Brooklyn, NY office 5 days/week.


You Will:
  • Drive growth & profitability for your categories by leveraging data-driven insights
  • Manage site merchandising and partner with marketing to develop category-specific strategies for your categories
  • Negotiate vendor costs, set retail pricing strategies, and plan regular promotions to increase sales and profitability
  • Lead the innovation pipeline for your categories by identifying new products and offboarding others in partnership with Operations
  • Stay informed on category trends and The Round’s Member experience to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive product assortment


You Are:
  • An experienced merchandising manager with 2+ years in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth consumer and/or technology startup environment
  • Adept in data-driven decision-making, with strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting, and a focus on driving results
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities, self-motivated, and capable of driving projects from concept to execution
  • An excellent communicator with a talent for building relationships across teams and working collaboratively
  • Passionate about food & sustainability, with a detail-oriented mindset and eagerness to tackle big challenges


Nice to Have:
  • Experience with environmentally sustainable packaging
  • Familiarity with JSON and other data interchange formats


$111,000 - $128,000 a year
The base salary for this full-time position, which spans across multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $111,000 - $128,000 plus benefits & equity.
