Salary/Hourly Rate: $16.25 - $18/hour 

Hours per week: 12-20 hours/week

What You’ll Do:

The Role:

As the Breakfast Server, you are primarily responsible for serving breakfast as well as the upkeep and cleanliness of the dining room and pantry.  Breakfast is served daily from 8am -10am. You are responsible for the setup and breakdown of the dining room, serving each guest table, bussing and then resetting all tables. Upkeep includes mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining general organization of dining room and pantry.  As the ideal candidate, you should be flexible and be able to commit to 12-20 hours per week including weekends and holidays. The position is staffed April – early January. A typical shift is 7:30am – 12pm.   

Specifically, you’ll:

  • Serving breakfast and beverages to inn guests   
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the inn’s dining room and pantry  
  • Assisting the breakfast Cook with kitchen cleanliness  
  • Washing dishes, glasses, silverware  
  • Laundry including napkins and tablecloths 

This is a limited-term, non-exempt position working 12-20 hours/week reporting directly to Assistant Innkeeper and Innkeeper.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays are required. Servers are required to commit to weekend part time weekend availability September through December. 
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. with or without accommodation  
  • Must be able to climb stairs (no elevator in the building) 
  • Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment. 
  • A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check.
