Role

  • Maintain Infrastructure Uptime: You will be the key person responsible for ensuring high availability and uptime across all core infrastructure components.

  • Critical Infrastructure Planning: Plan how our infrastructure will scale, lay out the time frames in which we need to upgrade parts of our stack

  • Proactive Issue Management and Observability: Establish redundant systems to ensure that single points of failure are mitigated quickly, minimizing downtime and ensuring resilience.

  • Support DevOps and Engineering: Act as the primary contact for infrastructure-related questions and issues, supporting the dev team in DevOps and ensuring seamless operations.

Skills

  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Strong familiarity with GCP’s suite of tools, including Firestore (we're transitioning off this soon!), Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and IAM management, and observability tools.

  • Monitoring & Logging: Proficiency with Datadog and GCP's alerting tools. Expertise in observability, uptime monitoring, and configuring specs across core infrastructure components.

  • CI/CD & Deployment: Solid experience with automated pipelines, continuous integration, and managing deployments to ensure smooth and reliable releases.

  • Uptime & SRE: Deep understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including uptime monitoring, incident management, and proactive alerting systems.
