Job Description

Do you have experience of digital delivery in the infrastructure sector, and are now looking for the next step of your career? We work with clients to shape and influence how they manage their large-scale projects. This is an opportunity to make a big impact on the efficiency of how major projects are planned and delivered while helping our clients achieve their Net Zero vision, through use of Information Management, BIM, and Digital Technologies. 

You will have a diverse role - you may be in a variety of positions including: strategy development, delivery of the IM function on a major project, set up and implementation of a CDE and digital technologies, through to change management and training, which could be either client facing or internal. 

You will be an enthusiastic advocate for the use of Information Management and Digital on major projects across the Infrastructure, Defence, or Energy & Natural Resources sectors. You have a genuine passion to make a real difference to help our clients become more efficient through best use of Information Management, BIM, and Digital Delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Proactively provide trusted advice regarding digital, leveraging your expertise in Information Management and BIM to unlock value and optimise technology use 

  • Capture and analyse client requirements to design and deliver Digital Strategies that meet requirements and business objectives 

  • Author key BIM documentation and processes aligned to industry best practice 

  • Lead and manage the roll out and implementation of BIM within a client organisation, across a programme of works and at project level 

  • Drive change across a client organisation, a programme of work, and at a project level, embedding technology and processes at every level, deliver targeted training to stakeholders 

  • Able to identify risks and appropriate mitigations 

  • Interface with clients, design teams, PMO teams, and contractors implementing Digital technologies and BIM methodologies from strategy level through to project delivery 

  • Ability to lead & manage a team 

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings & workshops 

  • Analyse and interpret data against project requirements 

  • Write detailed reports 

  • Support colleagues with project deliverables 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Turner &Townsend’s IM service offering, processes, tools, engagement 

  • Create and contribute to bid proposals 

  • Provide line management, supporting the professional growth of colleagues and promoting a positive team culture 

  • Maintain awareness of key industry trends; interpret and report to the wider team 

  • Act as an ambassador championing the digital services delivered by Turner & Townsend. 

Requirements – Technical Skills 

  • A working knowledge of information management standards e.g. BS EN ISO 19650 and the UK BIM Framework 

  • An understanding of international BIM standards 

  • Understanding of the emerging technology market that can support our clients & delivery 

  • A working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities relevant to a digitally enabled project 

  • A working knowledge of the creation and maintenance of key BIM documentation 

  • A working knowledge of a common data environment e.g. Aconex, Asite, ProjectWise, etc 

  • Knowledge of 3D modelling & review BIM software e.g. Navisworks, Solibri, etc. 

  • Understanding of asset tracking and management 

  • Understanding of dashboard software such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. 

  • Understanding of PMO tools and methodologies 

  • Understanding of geospatial technology 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform 

  • Ability to set up, manage SharePoint sites 

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and SaaS 

  • An inquisitive nature to research and learn new software skills.

  • Experience in one of our key sectors (Defence, Infrastructure, Energy & Natural Resources) 

  • The ability to travel to any location as agreed and appropriate.  T&T operate ‘hybrid’ location working in line with commission needs.  

Qualifications

  • 2:1 Bachelors ideally in a STEM subject / relevant professional experience 

  • Achieved, or working towards professional membership/accreditation e.g. APM, CEng, BCS
